Overview

Follow Widget ("the App") helps you track public social media statistics for TikTok and Instagram accounts. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Data stored locally on your device

• Account usernames and display names you choose to track
• Stat snapshots (follower counts, following counts, likes, media counts) recorded via manual entry, OCR import, or API sync
• Notes you attach to snapshots
• Subscription status (whether you have an active Pro subscription)

All snapshot data, notes, and account information are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and App Group shared storage. We do not upload this data to our servers.

Data sent to our relay server

When the App performs an API sync (automatic or manual refresh), it sends the following to our Cloud Run relay server:

• Platform (TikTok or Instagram)
• Username of the account being tracked

The relay server forwards this request to third-party data providers (currently Tikfly for TikTok and Apify for Instagram) to retrieve publicly available profile statistics. The relay server does not store your personal information, device identifiers, or local app data.

Data NOT collected

• We do not collect your TikTok or Instagram login credentials
• We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or analytics data
• We do not collect photos or screenshots used for OCR import (these are processed on-device only and never transmitted)
• We do not collect notes, historical snapshots, or display names

Third-Party Data Providers

The App uses third-party data providers to retrieve publicly available social media statistics:

• Tikfly (via RapidAPI) for TikTok public profile data
• Apify for Instagram public profile data

These providers receive only the platform name and username. They return publicly available statistics (followers, following, likes/posts count). We do not control the data practices of these providers. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for more information.

OCR Screenshot Import

When you use the screenshot import feature, the App uses Apple's Vision framework to recognize text in the image. All OCR processing happens on your device. The source image and recognized text are never transmitted to any server, stored in the database, or included in logs.

Subscriptions

Follow Widget offers auto-renewable subscriptions managed through Apple's App Store. Purchase transactions are processed by Apple. We do not collect or store your payment information. Subscription status is stored locally on your device.

Widgets

Home screen and lock screen widgets display data stored locally on your device via App Group shared storage. Widgets do not make network requests or transmit data.

Data Retention and Deletion

All data is stored locally on your device. You can delete individual accounts, snapshots, or all data at any time within the App. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
